Why not Train to be an Electrician

The City & Guilds 2365 is the recognised course that starts you on your journey to become an electrician. We have traditionally delivered this as "blended learning" by studying at home and attending in the evenings over a two year period.

Alternatively you can complete both Levels 2 and 3 within 13 weeks by attending the centre full time Monday - Friday.

β€œThe 18th Edition Wiring Regulations course 2382-18 is included in the 13 week block. β€œ

Also on offer is a "combined" version where you attend the Centre for a two-week block for the practical assessments and then complete the theory side using blended learning from home. (It's up to you how long this takes!)

Please ring us for availability. Click here for contact details.

City and Guilds Level 3 Award in Domestic, Commercial & Industrial Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation (2919-01)

Our new Electric Vehicle Charging Course is running regularly. We are partnered with ROLEC so candidates can gain Manufacturer Installer Status if they wish as well as the Accredited City and Guilds qualification. This also allows suitable candidates to make an application to undertake work with one of the government Grant Schemes. This area of technology is a huge growth area and with recent company tax break for electric vehicles you can expect a surge in enquiries to fit this equipment. Course details are here.

Understanding The Training Routes

Training to become an electrician takes time and cannot be achieved in a few weeks. We would encourage all of our students to fully educate themselves on what the process entails. For an impartial overview please head over to The Electrotechnical Skills Partnership TESP by clicking here. Their website reviews all of the recognised training routes here as well as informing anyone considering training what to look out for when approaching a training provider here. You can watch their video here.
